Required licensure/certification:
- Active RN license in practicing state
- BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred
Experience:
- Experience in labor & delivery, postpartum, or mother-baby nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and fetal heart tracing during labor and delivery
- Provide hands-on care for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods
- Administer medications and nursing interventions per orders; perform newborn assessments
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding
- Accurately document care and communicate/collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
