Contract, non-travel LPN position in Mount Olive, NC — Start: ASAP — Duration: 13 weeks — Schedule: 07:00 AM–07:30 PM — Rate: $1,008/36 hours

Requirements

  • Active, valid LPN license for the state of North Carolina
  • BLS certification

Overview
Provide direct patient care under RN or physician supervision, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing services in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver bedside nursing care including medication administration, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and basic procedures.
  • Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and documenting actions.
  • Manage wound care: assess, cleanse, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and changes in patient condition; maintain precise patient records.
  • Insert, manage, and monitor IVs and urinary catheters when assigned; observe for and report complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Assist with mobility, positioning, comfort, and pain management to promote safety and recovery.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support per facility protocol.
  • Follow infection control practices and safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to coordinate care.
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when delegated.
  • Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
