Schedule: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM
Rate: Local: $1,008 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and per protocol; ensure accurate dosing and documentation.
  • Manage wounds and incisions: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for infection/complications.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respirations) and document changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records of treatments, medications, and status changes.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids and maintain IV lines as appropriate.
  • Provide urinary catheter care (insertion, maintenance, monitoring).
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Address patient comfort and safety: positioning, mobility assistance, pain management.
  • Respond to medical emergencies using established protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control policies and proper PPE use.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies according to regulations.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the care team.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and training.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
