Contract, non-travel LPN position in Fairmont, WV. Start ASAP for a 9-week assignment. Schedule: Tue–Thu, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM. Rate: Local $1,184/36 hours.

Requirements:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician supervision, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring.
• Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and document all care, changes in condition, and medication administration.
• Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for infection or complications.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing and ensure proper handling.
• Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management; promote safety and infection control practices (hand hygiene, PPE).
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, medications, self-care, preventive measures, and follow-up needs.
• Respond appropriately in emergencies and deliver basic life support as required.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to coordinate care and advocate for patient needs.
• Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies according to policy.
• May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
• Maintain professional development and comply with facility regulations. Other duties as assigned.
