We’re seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Lebanon, NH team on a 14-week contract (non-travel) starting ASAP. This is a local position with a schedule of Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Pay is $1,094 per 36-hour week.

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse state license
  • BLS certification

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under RN or physician direction, focusing on safe, patient-centered practice. Typical duties include:

  • Delivering direct bedside nursing: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and routine treatments
  • Performing patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication reviews) and helping develop individualized care plans
  • Administering medications and IV fluids/medications safely, monitoring IV sites and lines
  • Evaluating and managing wounds, watching for signs of infection or complications
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs and changes in patient condition accurately and promptly
  • Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing
  • Caring for urinary catheters (insertion support, maintenance, and monitoring for issues)
  • Educating patients and families about diagnoses, meds, self-care, and prevention
  • Supporting patient comfort, mobility, pain management, and safety needs
  • Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support per protocol
  • Following strict infection control practices, including PPE use and hand hygiene
  • Handling, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies according to policy
  • Collaborating with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to coordinate care
  • Sometimes supervising CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as needed
  • Advocating for patients’ rights and helping connect them to appropriate resources
  • Participating in continuing education to stay current with best practices
  • Other duties assigned by management
