Contract Licensed Practical Nurse needed in Lebanon, NH. Start ASAP for a 14-week assignment. Schedule: Sun–Tue, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM. Local rate: $1,094 per 36 hours.

Requirements:

  • Active LPN license in the state of practice
  • BLS certification

Overview:
Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction, delivering safe, patient-centered services across assessments, treatments, and documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient comfort, safety, and recovery.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments (physical exams, histories, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV medications/fluids and monitoring IV lines
  • Provide wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition
  • Manage urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring)
  • Collect and prepare specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care
  • Assist with mobility, positioning, pain management, and overall patient comfort
  • Respond to emergencies using established protocols and basic life support as needed
  • Adhere to infection control practices and safe medication/supply handling and disposal
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocate for patient needs
  • Document care accurately and maintain detailed patient records
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when applicable
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current with nursing best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and effective teamwork to ensure high-quality patient care.
