Rate: Local: $1,163 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under RN/physician guidance (medication administration, wound care, vital signs).
  • Conduct focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and implement assigned care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and clinical changes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records of condition, treatments, and medications.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids and ensure IV line integrity.
  • Manage urinary catheters (insertion, maintenance, monitoring).
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Assist with patient comfort, positioning, mobility, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support per protocol.
  • Follow infection control standards and PPE guidelines.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and participate in health assessments.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
  • Participate in continuing education to maintain clinical competence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
