Join a friendly clinical team in Clovis, NM for a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel LPN opportunity with a schedule of Sun, Fri, Sat from 6:00 AM–6:30 PM. Pay for this 36-hour assignment is $1,138.

What we’re looking for

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands-on, compassionate nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Typical duties include:

  • Administering medications and treatments accurately and following established protocols.
  • Performing focused patient assessments—taking histories, conducting physical checks, and reviewing medications to help shape individualized care plans.
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respirations) and reporting any changes in condition.
  • Delivering wound care: cleaning, dressing, and monitoring sites for infection or complications.
  • Managing IV lines and administering IV medications/fluids when required.
  • Caring for patients with urinary catheters, including insertion, maintenance, and monitoring for issues.
  • Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Teaching patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, and prevention to support recovery and wellness.
  • Assisting with mobility, positioning, comfort, and basic pain management.
  • Responding to emergencies and providing basic life support per protocol.
  • Following strict infection control practices, including proper PPE use and hand hygiene.
  • Safely handling, storing, and disposing of medications and supplies in line with regulations.
  • Collaborating with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Advocating for patient needs and supporting their rights within the healthcare system.
  • Occasionally supervising CNAs or other unlicensed assistive personnel, depending on the assignment.
  • Staying current through ongoing education and training.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
