Provide clinical care as an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) at a correctional facility in Bruceton Mills, WV. This locum tenens opportunity begins 04/22/2026 with potential for a long-term contract. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week; on-call is not required. Patient population consists of adult individuals in custody. Clinicians will manage urgent and routine presentations and perform minor procedures such as incision and drainage, laceration repair/suturing, cyst removal, and removal or repair of ingrown toenails. Malpractice insurance is provided.
Required qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory
- NCCPA certification for PAs or appropriate national NP certification for NPs
- BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in emergency, acute, ambulatory/outpatient, psychiatric, or medical-surgical settings
Preferred:
- Prior experience delivering healthcare in a correctional setting
