We’re looking for a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join a correctional health team in Redgranite, WI, on a 26-week locum tenens assignment starting ASAP. You’ll work weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and earn $80/hr.

Why this role matters
You’ll deliver primary care to persons in custody—managing preventive care, acute issues, and chronic conditions—while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support reentry and evidence-based care initiatives.

What you’ll do

Perform comprehensive physical exams, assess health status, and establish medical diagnoses.
Prescribe and monitor medications, and order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Manage preventive, acute, and chronic health problems for the custody population.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
Participate in quality improvement activities, staff training, and patient education efforts.
Work closely with interdisciplinary colleagues to support the DOC’s reentry programs and clinical best practices.

What we need from you

Active Wisconsin RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification with prescriptive authority.
Current DEA registration and BLS certification.
Strong knowledge of advanced nursing theory, pharmacology, diagnostics, and correctional healthcare.
Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and respond effectively in emergency situations.
