Requirements:
- BLS - Basic Life Support - Within 1 month of hire or transfer
- NBCOT - NB Certification in Occ Therapy
- OTR - Occupational Therapist
- Bachelors Degree
- More than 1 year of experience preferred but would be willing for new grad.
- Successful completion of My Michigan Health and affiliate specific orientation. Successful completion of new hire competency.
- Interpersonal skills needed for effective verbal and written communication in the English language to interact with people individually and in a group at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating problem solving and organizational skills, time management skills and initiative.
- Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is required and must be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
- Ability to work where employee may be exposed to communicable diseases. Ability to use personal protective equipment correctly.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to demonstrate and teach selected treatment routines to appropriate professional and non-professional individuals.
- AOTA membership preferred.
