Travel RN – Operating Room (Perioperative Nurse) — Carbondale, IL (Contract)

Assignment: Contract/Travel — Days
Rate: $2,564 per 40-hour week

Required licensure/certification:

• Active RN license in the practicing state
• BLS required
• CNOR or other perioperative specialty certifications preferred

Experience and skills:

• Perioperative/Operating Room nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to maintain sterile technique and follow OR protocols

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare patients, instruments, equipment, and the operating room for surgical procedures
• Function as circulating nurse or scrub tech as needed; assist the surgical team throughout procedures
• Monitor patient status, administer medications per orders, and intervene appropriately for changes in condition
• Maintain and document accurate perioperative records and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory protocols
• Provide pre- and post-operative education to patients and families

• Immediate availability preferred; travel/contract assignment standards apply
