Seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage at an inpatient facility in Dayton, OH from Aug 10–Nov 16, 2026. Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., providing clinical-only coverage for a broad patient population (neonates through adults). Expect an average of 50–60 surgical cases per day across 14 ORs in a Level I trauma center with an annual ED volume of ~70,000. The practice includes 22 physicians and multidisciplinary support (APPs, RNs, surgical techs, PCAs). You will supervise CRNAs.
Case mix includes general surgery, thoracic (excluding open heart), complex orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures. Typical responsibilities: pediatric anesthesia (excluding cardiac and transplant surgery), airway and ventilator management, arterial line insertion, and evaluation/management of acute volume and blood pressure issues. Anesthesia cart preparation is not required. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.
Requirements: active Ohio medical license or participation in the IMLC, board certification, current BLS/ACLS/PALS, and NPDB report.
