Travel RN — Perioperative (Outpatient) | State College, PA | Days (Mon-Fri)

We’re seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join a perioperative outpatient team in State College, PA. This is a contract/travel opportunity starting ASAP, with a consistent weekday day shift schedule (Mon–Fri, 6:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m.). The role focuses on providing safe, patient-centered care across the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases in an outpatient surgical setting.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after outpatient procedures.
• Perform clinical assessments, monitor patient status, and accurately document findings in the EMR.
• Assist surgeons and procedural teams during operative cases and help maintain a sterile environment.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely.
• Educate patients and families on procedure preparation, expectations, recovery, and post-op instructions.
• Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate smooth, efficient care.

What we’re looking for:

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Perioperative or outpatient surgical experience is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent patient education abilities, and clear communication.
