Requirements:

• Active RN license in practicing state
• 1–2 years Telemetry or Step-Down experience preferred
• Proficient in EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia identification
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking skills
• Experience with EMR and telemetry equipment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and perform ongoing patient assessments and vital signs
• Administer medications, IV drips, and treatments as ordered
• Document assessments, interventions, and medication administration accurately in the EMR
• Communicate patient changes promptly to providers and escalate per protocol
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care
• Provide patient and family education related to treatment and discharge instructions
