RN Unit Manager (Contract) — Camden, ME (14-week)

Schedule: Sunday–Saturday, 07:00 AM–03:30 PM | Rate: Local $2,360 / 40 hours

Overview:
Seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee unit operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and support staff development. This role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership experience, and excellent communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Active, valid Registered Nurse license in state of practice
• Previous nursing leadership/management experience
• BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) to ensure adherence to policies and standards.
• Oversee patient care delivery, including assessments, medication administration, documentation, and adjustment of care plans as needed.
• Participate in staffing and scheduling to maintain appropriate coverage and efficient workflows.
• Mentor, educate, and evaluate nursing staff to support professional development and performance improvement.
• Monitor compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements; conduct audits and implement quality improvement actions.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and care coordination across the healthcare team.
• Advocate for patients, address concerns, and promote patient-centered practices.
• Respond to medical emergencies following established protocols.
• Ensure accurate and timely electronic health record documentation.
• Stay current with healthcare regulations and ensure team compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
