RN Unit Manager — Leadership Role, Local Contract in Lanham, MD (14-week, $2,360/40h)

We’re looking for an experienced RN leader to join a Lanham, MD team on a 14-week contract (local, non-travel) starting ASAP. This role works a day shift schedule (07:00 AM–03:30 PM) and pays $2,360 per 40-hour week.

What you’ll bring

• Active, valid Registered Nurse license for the state
• Prior nursing leadership experience
• Current BLS certification

What you’ll do

• Lead and support the nursing team (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) to ensure consistent, policy-driven care.
• Oversee direct patient care—assessments, medication administration, documentation—and update care plans as patient needs change.
• Help manage staffing and scheduling to maintain efficient, safe patient coverage.
• Coach and mentor staff, promoting ongoing professional development and best practices.
• Monitor quality and compliance, conduct audits, and drive improvements when needed.
• Serve as a communication hub to coordinate care across the healthcare team.
• Advocate for patients by addressing concerns and ensuring care remains patient-centered.
• Respond to clinical emergencies following established protocols.
• Ensure accurate and timely electronic health record documentation.
• Stay current on healthcare regulations and ensure team adherence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
