Rate: Travel $1,995 / 35 hours; Local $1,967 / 35 hours
Requirements:
- Valid, active state license for Speech-Language Pathologist
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluations and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with clear goals based on assessment findings.
- Provide evidence-based therapy targeting articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and teach safe swallowing strategies.
- Recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
- Educate patients and families on strategies, exercises, and carryover techniques.
- Monitor, document, and update patient progress; modify treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Facilitate generalization of communication skills to daily life, school, or work settings.
- Participate in professional development to remain current in speech-language pathology.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
