Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Pleasant Hill, CA — 13-Week Travel/Local Contract

We’re looking for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to join a team in Pleasant Hill, CA on a 13-week contract starting ASAP. This is a full-time role, Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Pay is competitive: Travel: $2,244/35 hours; Local: $2,212/35 hours.

What you’ll need

• A valid, active state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

What you’ll do

• Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function.
• Use clinical evaluations and diagnostic tools to determine the type and severity of communication disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that match each patient’s needs and goals.
• Provide therapy targeting articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language skills.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia, teaching safe swallowing strategies as needed.
• Recommend and support the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
• Teach patients and families practical strategies and home exercises to support progress.
• Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to deliver coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate, timely records including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Help patients generalize improved communication skills to daily life, school, or work settings.
• Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
