Join a 13-week contract assignment in Oakland, CA, starting ASAP. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $2,182/36 hours; Local rate $2,149/36 hours.

Required: Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic tools.
  • Diagnose communication and swallowing conditions and determine severity.
  • Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans and adjust them based on ongoing progress.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and dysphagia management.
  • Recommend, educate on, and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
  • Teach patients and families strategies and home programs to reinforce progress across daily, school, and work settings.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, plans, interventions, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, therapists, educators—to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Pursue continuing professional development to stay current in the field.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
