Requirements:

• Valid state Speech-Language Pathologist license or proof of eligibility
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as an ASHA Clinical Fellow
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and related disorders.
• Screen, examine, and document patient status; perform routine re-evaluations and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Implement and document SLP services across areas including speech intelligibility, oral-motor function, swallowing disorders, memory/orientation, pragmatics, psychosocial communication, functional communication, and case management.
• Coordinate and instruct patients in use of adaptive communication devices; identify hearing deficits and refer for further assessment/rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to select and modify therapeutic regimens and coordinate home/community care.
• Supervise CFYs, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel according to state and professional guidelines.
• Adhere to department schedules, clinical and billing documentation, and attend patient care conferences and meetings.
• Maintain safe environment: identify/remove hazards, order supplies/equipment, perform/coordinate equipment cleaning and repair.
• Prioritize patient-centered, compassionate care that respects individual needs and rights.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
