Requirements

• Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing.
• Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia; teach safe swallowing strategies.
• Recommend and provide training for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, strategies, and carryover activities.
• Monitor, document, and revise treatment progress and plans; maintain accurate clinical records (assessments, plans, progress notes).
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members for coordinated care.
• Support patient generalization of communication skills in daily, school, or work settings.
• Participate in professional development and follow facility policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
