Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time, North Adams MA

Full-time position in North Adams, MA. Start: ASAP. Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Requirements

• Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist or proof of eligibility.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Summary of responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment across speech-language and swallowing disorders, including cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral-motor function, perceptual abilities, orientation, memory, pragmatics, psychosocial expression, functional communication, and case management.
• Screen, examine, diagnose, document, and implement individualized treatment plans; perform routine re-evaluations and adjust plans as needed.
• Train and coordinate use of adaptive communication devices; identify hearing concerns and refer appropriately.
• Supervise clinical fellows (CFYs), temporary licensees, students, and support staff in accordance with state and professional standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to design and modify therapeutic regimens and to arrange home and community care.
• Refer patients to other disciplines or agencies when indicated.
• Maintain accurate clinical and billing documentation and adhere to departmental schedules and meeting requirements; participate in patient care conferences.
• Ensure a safe clinical environment, manage supplies and equipment (order, maintain, and report repairs), and follow fire and safety protocols.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that respects individual needs and rights.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
