Join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in Pittsfield, MA as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. This position starts ASAP and follows an 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule.

Requirements:

  • Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or documentation of eligibility
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise CFYs, temporary licensees, students, and support staff in accordance with state licensure and professional standards
  • Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to diagnose communication and swallowing disorders and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions across areas including cognitive-communication, speech intelligibility, oral motor function, dysphagia, perception, memory, pragmatics, psychosocial expression, and functional communication
  • Coordinate and train patients on adaptive communication devices; identify hearing concerns and refer for further assessment
  • Collaborate with physicians and the rehabilitation team to select and adjust therapeutic regimens; refer to other disciplines or agencies as needed
  • Maintain timely clinical and billing documentation, follow department schedules, and participate in patient care conferences and team meetings
  • Provide ongoing assessment of patient progress, modify treatment plans through routine re-examinations, and instruct patients in therapeutic techniques
  • Ensure a safe clinical environment, manage supplies and equipment, report repair needs, and order necessary materials
  • Coordinate home and community care with the interdisciplinary team and referring physicians
  • Promote compassionate, patient-centered care that respects individual needs and rights
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
