On-Site Substitute School Psychologist — Oakland County, MI (Short-Term, $50–$60/hr)

Adelphi seeks a full-time Substitute School Psychologist to provide on-site services in Waterford Township, Michigan, covering a short-term assignment until a permanent School Psychologist is placed. Start date: February 2, 2026. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week). Compensation: $50–$60/hour.

Core responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations; administering, scoring, and interpreting assessments; identifying academic, behavioral, emotional, and social barriers to learning; and recommending instructional modifications, accommodations, and interventions. The role requires collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to determine special education eligibility, using data-driven practices for intervention planning and progress monitoring, consulting with staff and families, participating in school-based supports and crisis response, coordinating external referrals, and maintaining accurate, confidential records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

Required qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution and completion of an approved preparation program meeting Michigan certification requirements. Candidates must be able to work 100% in person (no remote), reside within a 45-minute commute of the assigned district, and demonstrate experience with data collection/analysis, positive behavior supports (PBIS) and universal behavior strategies, and strong knowledge of Michigan Special Education law (MARSE).
