Adelphi is seeking a Substitute School Psychologist to fill a full-time vacancy within a school district in Oakland County, Michigan. Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Completion of an approved School Psychology preparation program meeting Michigan certification requirements
- Ability to work 100% in person; remote service providers will not be accepted
- Residency within a 45-minute commute of the assigned school district
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support educational decisions
- Knowledge of positive behavior support (PBIS) and universal strategies for managing behavioral concerns
- Strong understanding of Special Education Law under the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE)
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards
Responsibilities:
- Serve students across assigned schools within the district.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.
- Administer, score, and interpret educational and psychological assessments.
- Identify academic, behavioral, emotional, and social barriers to learning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine special education eligibility.
- Develop and recommend instructional modifications, accommodations, and interventions.
- Use data-driven practices for intervention planning and progress monitoring.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret academic and behavioral data.
- Consult and communicate effectively with school staff, families, and community partners.
- Participate in school-based support services and crisis intervention efforts.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with external agencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines, confidentiality standards, and professional best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
