Full Trauma/Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Surgeon - Level I - Relocate to Palm Springs, CA

We are seeking an experienced Trauma/Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Surgeon to join our teaching faculty at a Level I Academic Trauma Center near Palm Springs, California.  Candidate must be willing to relocate.

Position Details:

Academic community teaching hospital

• Shift Schedule: 9 shifts per month
• Shift Type: 24-hour shifts (call and surgical coverage)
• Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center
• Compensation: TBD
• Teaching Stipend

Responsibilities: 

• Provide emergency trauma and acute care surgical services
• Perform surgical procedures and manage operative and non-operative patients
• Collaborate closely with trauma, emergency medicine, and hospitalist teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participate in consultations, admissions, and inpatient rounding
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system

Requirements: 

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• Surgical Critical Care certification required
• Active California Medical License
• BLS & ACLS Certification – required
• Previous experience in a trauma or acute care surgery setting preferred
