**Locums | General Surgery APP | No Call | Decatur, GA**
**Why This Role**
- Extra surgical volume support in a high-throughput OR environment
- Daytime schedule with no call responsibilities
- Focused surgical assist role across multiple specialties
**Assignment Details**
- Coverage type: No call
- Start date: March 30, 2026
- End date: July 31, 2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:30pm
- Practice setting: Inpatient
- Patients per shift: Approximately 10
- Admissions required: No
- EMR: Epic
**Clinical Details**
- Surgical assist coverage primarily for general surgery
- Additional support for orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, and robotic cases
- Average of 90–110 scheduled non-urgent cases per week
- Daily case volume ranges from 10–30 cases
- Cases may occasionally extend past 5pm
- OR team typically includes surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, and CRNA
- No outpatient clinic responsibilities
**Requirements**
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active Georgia license required
- Board certified or board eligible
- BLS required
- Surgical assist experience required
- No supervision of advanced practice providers required
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
