**Assignment Details**
- Start date: May 17, 2026
- Ongoing coverage
- Coverage blocks include:
- May 17–25
- June 1–8
- July 3–10
- July 20–27
- August 17–24
- September 21–28
- October 26–November 2
- November 9–16
- December 21–28
- December 28–January 4, 2027
- Potential for additional dates
- Weekday schedule:
- Clinic and call coverage from 8:30am–5:00pm (day call included in hourly rate)
- Night call from 5:00pm–8:30am
- Weekend coverage: 24-hour call
- Guaranteed 8 hours per day
- Overtime applies after 9 hours per day (must be pre-approved)
- EMR: Epic
**Clinical Details**
- General neurosurgery with trauma coverage
- Complex spine cases required
- Average patient volume: approximately 5 patients per shift
- Practice setting includes inpatient and outpatient care
- Level III Trauma Center
- APP support available
- No airway certifications required
**Skills Needed**
- General neurosurgery (adult and trauma)
- Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation
- Cervical
- Thoracic
- Lumbar
- Placement of ICP monitors
- Experience with complex spine cases
- VP shunt experience preferred
**Requirements**
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3–5 years of residency
- Active California medical license
- Active California DEA
- FLUORO certification required (temporary FLUORO acceptable)
- Must submit 100 case logs from the past 24 months relevant to requested privileges
- Minimum of 2 years of current hospital-based neurosurgery experience
- Any gaps in clinical work greater than 3 months must be explained
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel and lodging: Reimbursed per facility policy
