Job Description
We are seeking a Locums Neurosurgery Physician to provide hospital-based coverage for adult neurosurgery and trauma patients at a Level II Trauma Center in Jackson, MI. This is a high-acuity weekend and holiday coverage role with 24-hour call responsibilities.
Shift & Schedule
- 24-hour shifts: Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
- Call Requirements: 100% coverage during assigned shifts
- Weekend and holiday coverage included
Practice Setting
- Hospital-based neurosurgery and trauma service
- Patient population: adult neurosurgery and trauma cases
- Procedures include:
- Brain bleed management and trauma repair
- Spine surgery (spinal fusion, laminectomy, diskectomy, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty)
- Critical care procedures (external ventricular drain management, ICP/CPP monitoring)
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurosurgery
- Fellowship-trained in Neurosurgery
- Active Michigan medical license
- BLS certification
