Position type: Locum Tenens — Supplemental coverage (Clinic + Call)
Coverage period: May 4, 2026 – ongoing
Schedule: 2 weeks/month; Mon–Fri, four 10‑hour shifts per week
Patient population: ages 1 year and up
Typical daily volume: ~50 cases
ORs: 24

Clinical responsibilities

• Provide general anesthesiology for inpatient and outpatient cases
• Case mix includes complete orthopedics, vascular, head/spine, neuro, OB, pediatrics, regional anesthesia, thoracic
• Perform pain‑management procedures: post‑op epidurals, post‑op extremity blocks, epidural steroid injections
• Use x‑ray guidance for block performance
• Placement of central lines and pulmonary artery catheters as needed

Team and support

• Work with LPNs, nursing staff, anesthesia techs, admins
• Collaborate with 3 nurse practitioners and onsite anesthesiologists

Requirements

• Active PA medical license or participation in IMLC
• Board certified in Anesthesiology
• BLS, ACLS, PALS current
• Clean professional record
• Hospital privileges required
