Locum Anesthesiologist — Epic-Enabled Level I Cases (Cardiac/Neuro/OB) in Gettysburg, PA

Seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to provide locum tenens inpatient coverage at a 5-OR facility in Gettysburg, PA. Coverage runs March 2, 2026 – March 31, 2027, providing scheduled clinical hours plus in-house call with a 30-minute response time. The schedule rotates between either two 8-hour shifts plus one 24-hour shift, or five 8-hour shifts with a post-call day off. Evenings and overnight coverage are performed by the anesthesiologist (not CRNA-led).

Clinical responsibilities include general anesthesia across adult patients, with frequent cardiac, complete orthopedics, complex vascular, thoracic (non–open heart), neurosurgical (head and spine), and obstetrical cases. Procedures and skills required: spinal/epidural and regional anesthesia, pediatric/neonatal/trauma anesthesia, open-heart anesthesia, ventilation management, arterial line/PA catheter/central line placement, and management of acute volume/BP issues. Experience with perioperative and interventional pain procedures—epidural and extremity blocks, epidural steroid injections (lumbar/cervical), transforaminal injections, and use of x‑ray guidance for blocks—is expected.

Team/support: CRNAs staff daytime cases and will be supervised by the anesthesiologist; supervision of APPs is required. RN/MA/office support details TBD. Documentation in Epic EMR.

Requirements: active Pennsylvania medical license; BC in Anesthesiology; current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ABLS, ATLS certifications. Fellowship training preferred.
