Schedule
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- 8-hour shifts with 1-hour lunch
Clinical Duties
- Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care for adults (100% office/clinic)
- Supervise APPs
- Participate in tumor board
- Sign chemotherapy orders for nursing administration
- Respond to nurse questions and manage patient reactions in the infusion area
- Take phone consults from ED physicians and hospitalists during clinic hours
Procedures
- Administer chemotherapy
- Intrathecal and intracavitary procedures
Practice Composition & Support Staff
- Physicians in practice: 2
- Hematology workload: 35% of practice
- Support staff: 1 NP, 1 PA, 1 Nurse Navigator, 5 Nurses, 1 Pharmacist, 2 Pharmacy Techs, 4 Schedulers, 1 Lab Tech, 1 Social Worker, 5 MAs
