Travel RN – Cardiac/Vascular Unit (CVU) – Hilo, HI (36-hr Contract)

Join a dynamic team in Hilo, HI as a contract Registered Nurse working in the Cardiovascular Unit. This 36-hour assignment starts ASAP and offers $1,930 per 36 hours. You'll be caring for high-acuity cardiovascular patients in a fast-paced environment where strong assessment, critical thinking, and clear communication matter.

What you’ll do:

• Provide direct nursing care for CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses to interventions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and carry out patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Document care promptly and precisely in the electronic health record.
• Recognize and respond to changes in condition, including emergencies, following CVU protocols and safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and ongoing education to maintain best practices.

What we’re looking for:

• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or other critical care settings preferred.
• Solid knowledge of cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and relevant procedures.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, high-acuity setting with strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills.
