RN House Supervisor — Med-Surg & Emergency (Contract/Travel) — Hamburg, IA

Location: Hamburg, IA | Start: ASAP | Assignment: Contract/Travel | Shift: Days | Pay: $2,182 / 36 hours

Overview:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide house-wide clinical leadership and operational support in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate has Med-Surg and/or Emergency Department experience, prior charge or supervisory experience, and demonstrates strong decision-making and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Clinical experience in Med-Surg and/or ED
• Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and sound clinical judgment
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-acuity environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical oversight and operational support across the facility during assigned shifts
• Coordinate patient flow, staffing assignments, and bed management to optimize throughput
• Provide clinical guidance and escalation support to Med-Surg and ER teams
• Respond to emergencies, codes, and critical incidents as needed
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Address and resolve patient, staff, and physician concerns in real time
• Act as the administrative representative during off-shifts, making timely operational decisions
