We’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a team in Albuquerque, NM for a 9‑week contract (non‑travel). This role starts ASAP and follows a consistent schedule: Monday–Wednesday, 06:00 AM–06:30 PM. Compensation for local candidates is $1,012 per 36-hour week.

What we need from you

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide hands‑on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians. Daily responsibilities include medication administration, wound care, IV and catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and thorough documentation. You’ll perform patient assessments (history, physical findings, medication review) to help develop individualized care plans and educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self‑care.

Other key duties:

  • Administer prescribed meds and treatments accurately and follow protocols.
  • Manage and dress wounds; monitor for infection and complications.
  • Insert, maintain, and monitor IV lines and urinary catheters when required.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Monitor and document vitals and changes in patient condition.
  • Support patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management.
  • Follow infection control practices and use PPE appropriately.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies.
  • Respond to emergencies using established protocols and provide basic life support.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to ensure coordinated care.
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and advocate for patient needs.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when applicable.
  • Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
