Rate: Local: $1,244 / 40 hours

Requirements:

  • Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and routine treatments.
  • Perform patient assessments (physical exam, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following dosing and safety protocols.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds, monitoring for infection or other complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records of treatments, medications, and condition changes.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Administer and monitor IV medications and fluids; ensure IV sites function properly.
  • Provide catheter care (insertion, maintenance, monitoring) and collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for testing.
  • Assist with patient mobility, positioning, comfort, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies per protocol and provide basic life support as required.
  • Follow infection control standards, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and per regulations.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Participate in ongoing education to maintain current nursing practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
