Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Rate: Local: $1,202 / 36 hours

Requirements:

  • Valid, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
  • BLS certification

Overview:
Provide patient-centered nursing care under RN or physician supervision in a fast-paced clinical setting. Deliver treatments, monitor patient status, document care accurately, and collaborate with the healthcare team to promote safety, comfort, and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform focused patient assessments (history, physical exam, medication review) to inform individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols.
  • Manage wound care (cleaning, dressing, monitoring for infection) and document progress.
  • Monitor and record vital signs regularly; recognize and report significant changes.
  • Start, maintain, and monitor IV therapy and urinary catheters; observe for complications.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including condition changes and interventions.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures.
  • Assist with mobility, positioning, pain management, and other comfort measures.
  • Respond to emergencies following protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow strict infection control practices and proper handling, storage, and disposal of medications and supplies.
  • Advocate for patient rights and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and support staff; may supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Participate in ongoing education to remain current with nursing best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
