Location: St. Albans, VT | Start: ASAP | Duration: 10 weeks | Schedule: 11:00 PM–7:30 AM | Type: Contract / Non-Travel | Rate: Local $1,368 per 40 hours

Requirements:

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Position overview:
Provide direct bedside nursing under RN or physician direction for a 10-week nocturnal contract. Deliver safe, patient-centered care, document accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform focused patient assessments and contribute to individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to protocol
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient status changes, and treatments
• Provide wound care, monitor for infection, and manage dressings and incisions
• Initiate and monitor IV therapy and care for urinary catheters as appropriate
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
• Promote patient comfort, assist with mobility and positioning, and support pain management
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support per facility protocols
• Follow infection control practices and safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies
• Advocate for patient rights and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs/UAPs, and support staff
• Maintain professional development and comply with regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
