Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) - 13-Week Contract, Bowie, MD

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract/travel assignment in Bowie, MD, starting ASAP. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel rate $1,701/35 hrs; Local rate $1,677/35 hrs.

Requirements:

• Active state Occupational Therapy license.
• CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

Key responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ physical and cognitive function and their environments to identify limitations and set measurable goals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, independence, and participation.
• Recommend, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Provide hands-on instruction and practice for activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs.
• Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to maximize independence.
• Monitor, document, and revise treatment progress, maintaining accurate evaluations and progress notes.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other providers to support safe community and workplace reintegration.
• Stay current with occupational therapy best practices and participate in professional development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
