Facility Details

• Beds: 505-bed acute care facility
• Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is a large, high-acuity community hospital serving western Jefferson County and the greater Birmingham metro, with a long history as a teaching and referral facility
• Total ICU/step-down beds: 54 beds
• EPIC EMR for efficient documentation

Position Overview

• Flexible block schedule model
• Full-time night shift: 6p-6a
• Competitive compensation package 
• Critical care background is required
• Procedure experience highly preferred; no intubations or chest tubes required
• Typical responsibilities:  acute issues, admissions, consults, and emergency procedures (central and arterial lines); anesthesia team in-house for intubations
• Average census: 40
• Solo clinician coverage required on nights; ICU physician on call for back-up as needed
