Acute Care NP/PA Hospitalist Team, Mercy Health St. Ritas (7-on/7-off, Competitive Pay & Benefits)

Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center invites an experienced acute care advanced practice clinician to join our team in Lima, Ohio — a welcoming Midwest community with four seasons, low cost of living, excellent schools, and easy access to larger urban centers.

Position overview:

• Manage admissions, consults, follow-up visits, and discharges for hospitalized patients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with case management, social work, nursing, and the collaborating physician.
• Perform daily rounds on approximately 13–16 patients, with occasional emergency admissions.
• Conduct comprehensive histories and physical exams; order medications, treatments, labs, and diagnostic tests within the scope of the Ohio State Medical Board supervision agreement and Mercy Health credentialing.
• Participate in on-call coverage for patient issues per the shift schedule, including holidays.
• Schedule: 7 consecutive 12-hour day shifts followed by 7 days off.

Qualifications:

• NCCPA certification (PA-C) or AANP/AACN-certified Nurse Practitioner (APRN/CNP).
• Current Ohio license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
