Locums Orthopedic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in Paducah, KY. This role provides comprehensive orthopedic care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a hospital-based setting with a full range of surgical and trauma services.

 

Position Details:

 

• Shift Schedule: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• On-Call Requirements: Yes, including weekends
• Patient Demographics: Adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• EMR System: EPIC

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures including trauma care (hip nailing, treatment of fractures, dislocations, amputations, deformities, tumors)
• Total Joint Replacement/Revision/Repair (Hip, Knee, Shoulder)
• Spinal Surgery (Lumbar and Cervical, with and without instrumentation; Thoracic, with and without instrumentation)
• Arthroscopy procedures
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple age groups

 

Qualifications:

 

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
• Completed Orthopedic Fellowship preferred
• Active KY medical license (IMLC accepted)
• Active DEA registration
• BLS Certification
• COVID vaccination required
• Must be able to perform hip nailing procedures
