Locums Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician to provide inpatient, hospital-based coverage in Davenport, IA. This is a high-acuity trauma-focused opportunity with consistent OR access and no clinic responsibilities.

 

Position Details

 

• Practice Setting: Inpatient only – no clinic
• Shift Length: 24-hour shifts
• Schedule: 7–10 shifts per month
• On Call: Yes – inpatient only
• Weekend Coverage: As needed
• Hospital Census: Average daily hospital census of 230–250
• EMR: Cerner

 

Responsibilities

 

• Provide orthopedic trauma coverage for inpatient and emergency cases
• Evaluate and manage acute orthopedic injuries
• Perform operative and non-operative orthopedic trauma procedures
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, trauma services, and hospital staff
• Ensure timely documentation and high-quality patient care

 

Requirements

 

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship trained in Orthopedics (Trauma experience required)
• Experienced orthopedic trauma surgeon required
• Active Iowa and/or Illinois medical license, or active IMLC
