Hospitalist FNP Opening in Anchorage, AK
Full-Time / Permanent Position
Position Overview
Inpatient behavioral health hospital setting
7on / 7off block schedule
Full-time or part-time options available
Manage medical care for patients with psychiatric and substance-use conditions
Responsibilities
Perform initial history & physicals within 24 hours of admission
Provide ongoing medical management, follow-ups, and discharge planning
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities
Provide medical consults, diagnostics, and treatment recommendations
Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle factors
Deliver emergency medical care within scope until higher-level care is available
Schedule & Practice Details
Block schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
Inpatient-only setting
High level of clinical autonomy
Requirements
Active Alaska NP/APRN license (or ability to obtain)
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
AANPCB board certification required
Minimum 1 year inpatient or acute care experience preferred
Behavioral health experience a plus
Strong communication and team-based care skills
