Locums Orthopedic Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgery Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Mason City, Iowa. This position offers a consistent weekday clinic schedule combined with trauma and orthopedic call coverage at a Level III Trauma Center.

 

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-Call: Yes
• 24-hour call coverage
• Call overage included
• Follow-up clinic visits for patients seen while on call
• Weekend Requirements: N/A (unless assigned during call rotation)

 

Clinical & Surgical Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic clinical care in an outpatient setting
• Perform orthopedic surgical procedures
• Manage trauma and orthopedic call coverage
• Inpatient responsibilities including:
• Rounding on post-operative patients
• Inpatient and ED consults
• Surgical cases in the OR

Facility Details:

• Trauma Level: III

 

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
