Physician Assistant CT/CV (Cardiac Surgery) at Mercy Health St. Ritas, Lima, OH

Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center seeks a skilled physician assistant to deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient care in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgeon in the operating room, including Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH).
• Coordinate and counsel patients regarding care under the direction of supervising physicians.
• Perform daily rounds on hospitalized patients, review care plans with nursing staff, and complete discharge summaries.
• Conduct physical assessments and obtain comprehensive patient histories.
• Order medications, treatments, and laboratory studies as permitted by Ohio State Medical Board supervision agreements and Mercy Health credentialing.
• Participate in an on-call schedule for patient issues, including holiday coverage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising physicians.

Required qualifications:

• NCCPA certification.
• Current Ohio PA licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited PA program; Master of Science in a PA-related field as required by the Ohio State Medical Board.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
