Locums General Surgery Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certified General Surgery Physician for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Pendleton, Oregon. This position offers a structured block schedule with a mix of clinic, call, and surgical responsibilities in a supportive hospital setting.

 

Position Details

• Schedule:
• Monday – Friday clinic hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 24-hour call coverage required
• Assignment Length: 7–10 day block schedule for approximately one year
• Coverage Includes:
• Scheduled outpatient clinic visits
• Post-operative care
• Inpatient and emergency consults
• Scheduled and emergency surgical procedures

 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general surgery care in clinic and hospital settings
• Perform a full range of general surgical procedures
• Manage post-operative patients and follow-up care
• Respond to emergency surgical cases while on call
• Collaborate with hospital staff and ancillary services to ensure high-quality patient care

 

Requirements

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• Active Oregon medical license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Active DEA
