Locum Tenens Associate Medical Director – Family Medicine – Dallas, TX
Dates: 13-week assignment | Locum-to-Perm opportunity
Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate)
Location: Dallas, TX – Part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex
Job Details
Coverage type: Scheduled clinical/administrative hours (no call)
Practice setting: Managed care / Health plan leadership
Work model: Fully remote during locum assignment, transitioning to hybrid if permanent
Focus: Utilization management, prior authorizations, appeals, clinical oversight
Provide peer-to-peer reviews and medical necessity determinations
Support quality management, disease management, and policy development
Analyze provider performance data and participate in credentialing reviews
Assist with pharmacy benefit oversight and fraud, waste, and abuse initiatives
Participate in committee leadership and clinical program development
Requirements
Active state license required to bid: Yes (TX license only)
Board certification required: Yes (Family Medicine or relevant specialty)
IMLC accepted: No
Managed care and prior authorization experience required
Familiarity with Texas Medicaid regulations required
Ability to oversee multidisciplinary clinical teams required
