Join a Modesto, CA hospital to provide locum tenens cardiothoracic surgical coverage for one month (Mar 1, 2026 – Apr 1, 2026). This inpatient, supplemental assignment is call-only (beeper) coverage with scheduled shifts Mar 11–18. Expected patient volume is ~5 patients per shift, with admissions required. Case mix includes open heart and thoracic surgery; providers with experience across cardiovascular, vascular, and cardiothoracic procedures are preferred. The service has a 12-bed department and is located at a Level II trauma center.
You will be supported by 1 medical assistant and 3 administrative staff. EMRs used: Athena and Cerner. This opening specifically covers ER trauma call. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.
Requirements: active medical license, board-certified (BC) in relevant specialty, BLS and ACLS certifications, and demonstrable experience in open heart and thoracic surgery.
